i'm just really frustrated and annoyed b/c i have an SAT score of 2230 and not 2250!

Has anybody gotten an award with a score really close to 2250 but not quite it?

Please help! i have a great GPA too, so I'm just really worried.

Thanks in advance!

can somebody give me some help or an answer please?

Rutgers is a big school. If they say 2250 is the minimum don’t expect them to make an exception. They get loads of applicants. You won’t be the only one to just miss.

I heard that for the past few years, all people who qualified for the presidential scholarship award receive one, but is that true for this year too?

Not sure. I would guess it depends how many applicants that meet the criteria apply. I think this year there are about 190 presidential scholars out of 7500 freshman.

if i have a really high GPA, do you think they’ll possibly consider me though?

like…if my GPA is higher than others but SAT is like 20pts lower than them?

sorry…i just really wanted the presidential scholarship award but…those few pts…

and i’m talking about the pres. scholarship award for the rutgers pharm program…so i’m not sure if that’ll make a difference or not…

THanks! :)

Unfortunately, I’d say because of the state of education in public New Jersey it’s probably going to be more competitive this year.

Also, I feel like there are more than 190 applicants each year with stats of top 5% and over a 2250 that are in-state. In my experience, most top NJ students apply to Rutgers either as a safety or for the Presidential Scholarship.

Ugh, I’m so nervous about this scholarship. If I get it, it’s my parents dreams come true.

are you applying too?

if you don’t mind my asking, what were your stats? (you don’t have to say it if you don’t want to)
