I'm just curious if anybody got accepted with C's...

I got deferred with a C-, a C, and around 2 or 3 C+s if I remember correctly(not to mention a ~3.0 UW GPA). If that doesn't say Columbia's admissions process is holistic, I don't know what does!

yes, but that person had great connections and did great in the SATs! I think 2380 or something

mar1ami: I'm talking about myself, in case that wasn't clear. And, I do not have fabulous SAT scores(740M/670CR/660W).

mar1ami was talking about someone else that he/she knows.

I think mar1ami is trying to say he/she knows another person who got in with C's and great SAT scores; the post wasn't referring to you.

edit: oops, I guess that's what I get for leaving a page up for awhile before responding.

Yeah, my friend had a couple of C's in math before and she was accepted for...but then again she is latina!

I had a C+ in french and biology. I had about a B+ average (3.3 UW), at one of the toughest public nonexam schools. I got in, but I had a bunch of other things to make me "worth the risk" (i.e., the risk that I didn't have much work ethic or maturity), and they only took a chance on me after i'd worked full-time for a year to prove that I had both. My full profile is somewhere on this board if you care for it, search for it I guess.
