My daughter is also living in Wall and has no roommate. I am assuming they send out some sort of questionnaire to match the kids according to certain attributes such as whether they are a night owl or morning person, whether they are tidy or messy etc. Although my guess is that most are pretty messy from what I’ve seen! :)

My son will be living in Wall and is choosing to go “random” - the kids were told that for this year, there will be no questionnaire. The orientation leaders stressed to the kids that the success rate from going random is the same as if they picked someone. Their rationale is that matches on paper don’t necessarily work out in real life. Plus, they say that some roommates go into their chosen situation thinking that they will be BFFs and end up having unrealistic expectations.

Hope it works out for our kids.
