Hello all!
I am an incoming freshman at Tulane, and I have been wondering what you all have heard/think of Wall. It is beautiful on the outside and in a great location, but what about the people who are drawn to live there? Not too many seem interested on our facebook group. Any advice or insight would be very much appreciated!

I’m a freshman too and I’ve applied to Wall. When I stayed overnight for Honor’s Weekend I actually stayed with a girl who lived in Wall, and it was awesome. The building’s much newer so the rooms are pretty new - the rooms are bigger and have private bathrooms (well semi-private, you share with up to three other people). The study areas are great and the lounge areas are pretty nice as well. It’s quieter there, which is nice for sleeping, but if you’re concerned that you won’t be social don’t be, because everyone there seemed very social.

I am also a freshman that applied for Wall next fall. I stayed with some guys in Wall at Honors weekend and it seemed like the right dorm to go for. I’m very serious with my grades and studying, BUT I love having fun and the social scene. I like to think of myself as a normal person, and I am hoping to find some other people like me in Wall haha.

My daughter has applied to Wall and hasn’t heard anything about acceptance or not. Has anyone heard anything yet? Does anyone know when you will find out if you are in? Just wondering.

My D received an email this week with the decision. The email went to her Tulane email address.

I think the dorm assignments come much later, like late July.

OK, I have good and bad news. My daughter got in but her “roommate” didn’t Any suggestions?

Hmmmm. I didn’t know Wall selected so early, that is interesting. Maybe they have to so those that don’t get it can have time to look for new roommnates in a different dorm.

I don’t have any particularly good suggestions rachmom, except maybe to start a Facebook page for those that got into Wall 2010 roommate selection. Assuming she wants Wall more than she wants this roommate, lol.

HA! I guess we will see which one she likes better!

Does Wall have a waitlist in case people choose not to live there after they are accepted? Or can sophomores apply if they were not accepted as freshmen?
