Anybody has actual experience of petitioning out of CHEM7L/6BL ?

I've been looking through old threads but there's only a few. I want to know the possibility of succeed through this process. I've heard that it becomes harder to get rid of this lab using chemistryAP from high school. By the way I got a 5 on my AP exam and already emailed the department asking about what they want to see as evidence. Sadly, I got rid of all my hw, notes, anything from my high school APchem class except my lab notebook. Right now I am quite afraid of submitting what I have to the department. Need suggestions..

I don’t know anything about petitioning out, but I don’t see why it would hurt. Worst they could do is say no and you’ll just take chem7l, right?

I’ve been told it’s very unlikely. You have to show them your lab notebook and they meticulously check that every concept covered in CHEM 7L was also covered sufficiently i your HS chemistry class. My friend said she got rejected because there was one concept that 7L covered in a particular lab that her class didn’t, so her entire waiver request was denied because she didn’t fulfill ALL the requirements. Worth a shot though, as mentioned ^
