anybody have a good safety for me?

<p>Pomona is my first choice...I've already visited and stayed overnight and been to some classes. But I'm afraid; I'm so married to it and it seems sometimes so random as to who gets in. Brown is my second choice. I'm trying to figure out a third.</p>

<p>Anyone have a good third choice? Academically good, with good students, kind of a cool vibe?
Maybe several safeties? I have top grades and stats but I figure it's a given that everyone else applying to these top schools will also.</p>

<p>My hours not in class are spent modern dancing. I've done the requisite community service but nothing outstanding. I'll have very very good teacher recs and my essays, I've been told, are excellent (yet, I imagine, many others are excellent)--</p>

<p>Thus looking for safety schools. I live in Asheville, NC...money is not a factor...my grandmother is paying.</p>

<p>If location’s a factor, then UNC-Charlotte could be a possibly safety, and UNC-Chapel Hill could be a good match. What’s your GPA and SAT or ACT scores? That’ll help alot.</p>

<p>The UNC schools are perfect safeties as the previous posters said, and a good “super-safety” could be NC state.</p>
