Your application was given an initial review, and a final admission decision is pending. If further information is required, we will contact you by mail.

My AI is 65, so not being 70 that doesn't surprise me, although I hope they make their decision soon and positively.

weird, i got the same message but without the last sentence (If further information is required, we will contact you by mail.)

wats AI ?
my status hasnt changed im still awaiting a preliminary review though
i hope that doesnt mean anything bad though

I got in!!!!!!!!

I applied Nov 30.

My account says that too frop. Did anyone get that message and then got accepted?

I think that message is basically putting u on hold for a while. What you want is the message that says "Your application has been reviewed. All applicants are informed of admission decisions by mail when results of the review process become available."

dc2005 what are your stats? Comparing princess 345345 statement with frops statement here is my guess: "If we need additional information------" indicates to me you are in the mix but they may be asking for your first semester senior grades.
Princess is over AI 70 so it sounds like they have made a decision to admit and she will hear soon. Just a thought. Room for optimism on both accounts. O.K I see seven agrees with my take on things. I didn't see his post.

Yeah, all my friends who got the "Reviewed" message got their letter within a week. One of my friends got "initial review" and he's been waiting for 3 weeks now. :(

But good news for me! It just changed today to "Reviewed" I guess it's time for the RS students to get in now :P

1370 SAT and 3.38 gpa. I think my gpa is the thing that's gonna be trouble for me. I took a lot of tough classes though.

Haha good job JJ, but no wonder your already in.

Ack, they said they have given me an initial review but I was missing some supporting/required documents...! But they didn't say what it was... :S :S

Call and ask asap, so you still have time to send in before Jan 15th.

That's great news Dopke! I wouldn't be surprised if you hear back from UW within a few days.

I talked to a couple of my friends at school today who applied to UW and I think that whether you applied online or by paper also determines when your application will be reviwed. I submitted my app on Dec 1, it was under "waiting for preliminary review" until Jan 4, and they decided on my acceptance on Jan 5. I applied online. However, my friend applied a few weeks before me w/ the paper application and she still has yet to receive a decision.

I heard back today! So that makes it Reviewed on Jan 5th, Acceptance letter in mail Jan 7th. :)

rovee- I think UW is really random in the order they pick up an application and review it. My friend got in Dec 2nd and he applied by paper on Nov 24th, somewhere around there. Also, there are still people since early Nov. who are still awaiting a prelim review. Even I was preliminary review from Nov4th-Jan5th.

I think its really random that I had only an AI of 70 and found out Dec. 18...
