Anybody heard from William & Mary?

okay,

I called the admissions office and they just told me to send in my midsesmter grades asap. However, the lady on the phone told me that they had already started looking at appplications and the fact that I havent sent my mid-smester grades would not factor into the decision making process. Take this info for what its worth, but its what the admissions office told me.

btw - i got accepted into Vtech!!! woohhoo - just uva, and w&m to go!

Hmmmmm... In that case I'd rather have not sent my midterms at all if they are not required... Interesting...

Anselmo,

I wouldn't say that you rather not send them because the Admission Officers told me that they play an important factor in your admissions decision, though not that heavily. It easier for them to see that you are making the same progress with your second semester than just see one semester (if you are a freshmen.) If they were not important in making the decisions, they wouldn't have asked for them and they wouldn't have emphasized them through that mass e-mail. I guess alot of people didn't send their midterm grades.

BIG UPDATE

I called home and asked my brother if he had gotten the mail yet. I told him that there was a good chance there would be a letter from William and Mary. He said he hadn't checked and so he told me to hold on the line while he went to get the mail. I was on the line for around 15 minutes while he was "getting the mail." Turns out he locked himself out of the house, and couldn't get back inside. Anyway, he finally got back inside a few minutes later (don't ask how), and he called me back.

My heart was beating fast.

He said, "Yeah, there's an envelope from William and Mary."
At this point I took a deep breath and asked him, "Around what size is it?"
He said, "Uh, standard envelope size."
My heart dropped.
I then continued, "Does it seem like it has only 1 piece of paper in it, or multiple?"
He hesitated for a second, and said, "I'm holding the envelope right now, it probably has around 4 or so pages worth of paper in here."
My heartbeat was now erratic and fast.

I told him not to open it, and that I would get a ride home and open it myself.

I'm soooo nervous, I really hope I got in.

I just got back from the post office sending my letter of intent to be on the waitlist. Are you planning on sending them any additional material?
