Anybody in STEP 4-Committee Review

Son is on step 4 too.
Recently he talked about he really likes U Rochester and how nervous about waiting for the decision. That makes me feels guilty, because back in Dec, I did n’t have tome to write the family recommendation for him.

Is it too late to send the recommendation?

arling… Please feel free to send along a family recommendation. We can add it to your son’s file and make note of any updated information.

Congrats to our Combined Admission Programs finalists. These programs are among our most competitive, and for that reason most of the students that are selected as finalists are admitted, though it is not guaranteed. It would be unusual for a CAP finalist to be denied admission to the University of Rochester, but it can happen.

All of our programs have grown, and this year was the most competitive for each program individually. Though I don’t have exact numbers for the REBS program, swang530, I can tell you that more than 300 students expressed interest in the REBS program, and only 25 were invited to interview as finalists.

After logging into MyRoc I noticed that my application is also in step 4 and that my mid-year grades are not yet checked in. ( My high school sent the grades out late last week.)My issue is that I had my strongest semester ever this senior year and really would like the committee to see that before they make an initial decision on my application. How much weight will my mid-year grades have in the decision process?

MConklin,

Could you announce it when the first wave of letters are sent?

Yes, I will certainly do my best to make an announcement when the first substantial wave of letters goes out.
