applying... with NO major hooks < (=-O eeks how could I possibly consider the notion)

and scores like these??? (give or take)
ACT:30-32
SAT (CR+M): 1300-1500
SAT (CR+M+W): 1900-2100

because I am.....

and i feel lonely T_T

:P

everybody has a chance....
don't worry, just hope they like your essay ; )

because someone i know had a 29 on ACT but had a really really good essay and got defered.

Me, although my SAT scores are a little higher, and I have geographic diversity, but I don't think that's a hook... (if so, it didn't work for the EA round!)

I have absolutely no hook... though my Yale essay is about my Russian-Jewish background/immigrant parents/perspective on life b/c of that, I'm sure there are plenty of us applying to Yale.
Yeah, my scores/grades are better... but Yale really doesn't care after a certain point.

@ChandlerBing

the middle ranges i presented are LOWER than this point....no?

It depends on your ECs and essays in addition to your grades.

I totally messed up my SAT IIs (620 and 670) and I was deferred, so who knows? ;)

I'm not really sure what you're asking, pomegranate, could you maybe rephrase it? Sorry lol, I'm tired and incoherent today ><

My SAT IIs weren't stellar but we'll see how RD goes... right now my goal is to get into A college, just one. So I won't have to go to community college.

@ChandlerBing

you said "but Yale really doesn't care [about SAT1 scores] after a certain point.

and what i said/meant was that a 1400CR+M, 2000CR+M+W, or 31 ACT are LOWER than this "certain point" you refer to .....right?

i am! dnt worry, we all have a chance

so thats about 4 people in about 338 views which is about ...

1.183431952662721893491124260355% of applicant pool has these about these stats (assuming every viewer is an applicant)

...soo YES ....i should be worried

Well you can make that percentage a little bigger because I'm planning on applying next year and I'm riding in the 2100-2150 area so NOT much different from you (although I'm not applying this year...but still)

Hmm, @pomegranate

The 1400 is looking good, but the 2000 is a bit iffy. I'm really not sure :(
But I really wouldn't worry too much about that, you've already applied, and since when has Yale REALLY cared a ton about SATs? They accept applicants based on things we have no idea about.

HAHA Kev if it was up to me I would accept you. But seriously hooks are the golden ticket. You'd be in there like swimwear if you had even just ONE of my hooks.

you def. have a chance, any ECs or awards, volunteer? stuff helps

up to 1.2953367875647668393782383419689% lol

Hey supereagle, I know, I know. (thanks for using my real name on a public message board...lol)

to all...... my Stats ARE in these ranges, some lower, some higher than 1400/2000/31.... so don't assume things, ChandlerBing :P still, thanks for your kindish words

down to .96899224806201550387596899224806%

i refuse to let this die untill it rounds to .00%

because then i never have to look at this website again

I thought those were your stats and you wanted opinions about them or something?
I'm confused now.

i do...my scores ARE in the RANGES i presented....don't get confused

i do want peoples opinions

Lol, you're not alone, my scores lie in those ranges too, and I'm pretty sure I don't have a hook.

I got rejected ED with a 32. And I had some of the better hooks out there. Best of luck. This is the hardest year ever.
