Only that data is a year old, and Duke will tell you it's 1490 this year.

premed at duke > premed at stanford. hands down. there are premed advisors at duke for undergrads, great professors. one of the best university hospitals in the country right on campus, which offers internship ops for 2nd semester freshmen.

thank all you guys once again!

I wouldn't say this is "hands down."
Stanford University hospital is one of the best in the country as well, and it'd be hard to argue that Duke is objectively better than Stanford in ANY regard.

I agree with quirkily completely.

As for Duke having a 1490, I've seen nothing to substantiate that. It makes no sense since every other school was flat. That would mean its SATs are 20 points higher than Pton, which I have a tough time believing. And considering they have let in more waitlistees this year than the other top 10 combined, I have no idea how someone would no that. My guess is they are about a 1440-1460 avg this year.

To say that Duke is better than Stanford is at best laughable.

Maybe Upenn, but don't fool yourself by saying it's better than HYPS.

I also agree Stanford is on the whole the better school, for mr it's about peer group. And the 1490 can straight for the admisions office. How do you thow this year was flat?
I've seen few college release this year's numbers yet.

I prefer relying on collegeboard.com...Duke's selectivity is that of Columbia Brown and Dartmouth, not that of Stanford or Pton

.............so confused

I do know Stanford is better than Duke on the whole, but i haven't decided what to major in yet....

i am now considering majoring in PreMed or Computer Science or Business(maybe)?

I really have no idea....
