Anyone Accepted Out of State yet?

ohh my bad haha…the wait is killing me man!!

I know same for me! I check it everyday…I just want to know when it will be up

OOS acceptances in the next couple of weeks, I think.

Here’s the response I got from admissions:

"How long it takes to receive a decision can vary a great deal from student to student. We’re aiming to have all decisions out by early March. A few highly qualified applicants may receive an early decision.

Decisions are made at different times, and a variety of things can impact when an individual decision is made. So, if you hear that someone you know has received his or her decision, you should not automatically assume that the fact that your son hasn’t heard is a bad thing. Some students who are admitted to the fall semester do not learn of their decision until near the end of the decision process."

Not sure about this one. My daughter got her acceptance on the 14th to Undergraduate Studies. It said it was pending Plan II. She had applied first to Liberal Arts and second to Plan II. We couldn’t understand why, even if she had not been admitted to Plan II, she would be put in UGS rather than Liberal Arts. After waiting a week, I finally called Admissions yesterday, and the person I spoke to told me that she was put in UGS because she didn’t get in Plan II. I asked why she was just not admitted to Liberal Arts, and she said because Plan II was in Liberal Arts. I didn’t really get this, so I decided not even to tell my daughter until I got more info, since I knew she would be disappointed about Plan II. Lo and behold today the big yellow packet arrives from Plan II!! She is in (according to Plan II). Only Admissions thinks she is not. I am almost afraid to call and find out where the mistake lies.

still waiting…

I just called and he said around the end of this month, the kids I know that got in both heard Feb 13th

they take a ridiculously long time it seems…

yaaa but whatever, probably because they have all the stupid to ten percenters to sort

I honestly dont get it>>> WHY have this 10% rule?!!, it is obviously the only thing preventing UT from truly breaking into the Elite of the colleges… They have everything to be up there with the USC’s UCLA’s etc: great programs and educators but as long as they have this rule UT will always be under the radar missing all the top students out of state, which who knows maybe its a good thing in the end.

OH and im OOS b * * * * es

Because the Texas State Legislature passed a law making it so…

UT, and every other publicly funded university in the state must follow the dictates of the law.

UT has been fighting the law for years, and finally won a concession that will go into effect in fall 2011, but they are still under the constraints of the governing body of our state.

Does that clear it up for you?

Just wanted to check if anymore OOS has been accepted lately. Daughter is very anxious to hear.

Nope.Son is International applicant.

I know that last year two kids where I live where accepted on Feb 13th…looking forward to it

Still waiting here.

My son was accepted today. Waiting to hear from LAH. Hoping to get in-state status through Arabic Flagship Program.
