Hey,
so I just checked my on-line status today, and I noticed that my major had been switched from my first choice major to my second choice major. I realized after I sent my app out that I was more suited to my second major than my first, but I was wondering how often it happened that they actually switch someone's first choice major. Obviously there is no way I am getting into my first choice now, right? Thanks, any input would be appreciated.

Well, if your majors are in the same college switching is very easy. I think all you have to do is declare that major later on. If the major is in a different college, then you'd have to apply to change colleges within cornell, which is a bit of a hastle, but not bad at all.

If this is the case most of the time they will let you transfer within cornell if you are in good academic standing.

its not a hassle to change colleges; from what i hear, internal transfers are incredibly easy after one semester is spent
