Anyone Appealing?

P.s. Again, I don't know how to quote but right from the UCLA denied transfers site.

"Q: I would like to appeal my decision. What should I include in my appeal letter?

A: UCLA reviews applicants very thoroughly, taking into account all information provided on the application. Our decision will not change unless there was academic information (e.g. not listing major preparation courses, or classes required for eligibility that you did take) inadvertently omitted from the application—information that clearly shows you to have a stronger academic record had been earlier evidenced. Additional extracurricular activities or fall term grades are not a basis for the reversal of the decision since decisions are based on academic information that was available at the time of application."

your stats are great! however, i was browsing the ucla communications department website again the other day after i got accepted...

" The Admissions Committee gives detailed attention to every application it receives, and its decisions each year are final. Other than to correct an error in the information it originally evaluated, the Admissions Committee is not able to comply with appeals from applicants for a second review."

but it still doesn't hurt trying
one of my friends still might appeal

Yeah I know the chances are none to negative. :o
But I can't just idly sit by and wait for USC without any decent alternative.
I'm gonna be a junior for goodness' sake, USC please come through for me. crosses fingers

p.s. This is like worst case scenario of maximum anxiety and no security. >____< Everything rests on the decision.

I will appeal CAL if i don't get in.

Guyy, Cal's chemical engineering >>> UCLA's chemical engineering.

Shoot for the best. Good luck.

I went to a newly admitted students workshop at UCLA last week. At the workshop someone asked about appeals and the UCLA Rep who is on the admission committee said that new grades is not new and compelling. I told my counselor bc I heard of someone not getting in and she said that at another workshop that day they said it is new and compelling. Everyone has different responses so just appeal and cross fingers.

Woman of Troy what are you going to do if you are rejected from USC?
