AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
oberlIN!!!!!!!!!

Hey everyone- congrats on getting in ! Would everyone mind saying what part of the country they live in- not anything specific- just by region, I guess. I'm still awaiting a decision and live in Texas- maybe thats why it's a little later...

EDIT- Sorry- I just realized that the location is listed under most names here...lol..I feel silly now- but thanks anyways

congrats to everyone!!!

Im still waiting to find out. I think its because I live so far away from Ohio (in Oregon...). Colleen1805, thats probably why its taking a bit longer for you too.

Keeping my fingers crossed though!

good luck, Liv09!

Yeah, you guys will probably get yours tomorrow or Wednesday. It's Christmas season. I only live 3 hours away from Oberlin, so I got mine on time.

Congratulations to everyone who's gotten in!

congrats who got in!!

btw do you think that EDII applicants have more advantage than RD? Since I'm international so I dont think EDII or RD will be that much different for me. Any Obies here got in in EDII? what's ur opinion about it?

Rogueknight//
The only difference between EDI and EDII is the deadline. Oberlin admits about one-third of their incoming class through ED, and clearly the RD pool is much bigger than ED. So you can do the math. Definitely apply EDII if you feel that Oberlin is your first choice and you feel your RD chances are ambivalent.

I'M IN!!! I'M IN!!! I'M IN!!!!!! Class of 2013!!!

congrats, Liv09!

yay, congrats!

thank you!

Wow, we're really in! It hasnt set in yet, but I'm so happy!

Has anyone in California heard? It is 12/17 and we have yet to hear.

studiomom, Im in Oregon and I found out yesterday. My letter was postmarked for the 12th. You should find out soon I think.

studiomom, we're in the Bay Area and have yet to hear anything--hopefully tomorrow!

thanks calimom. we too are in the bay area and are waiting, waiting, waiting!

Studiomom--Did you hear anything from Oberlin today? Our mail just came and no Obie mail for DD! (H phoned the Admissions office yesterday afternoon and they confirmed that decisions were mailed last Friday, that DD was included in the mailing and that the delay was due to the USPS, not them!) The suspense continues . . ..

Yes, my daughter did receive her letter of acceptance today. She is so thrilled. It was mailed from Oberlin on December 12 and we received it here in the Bay Area today December 18. If you don't hear tomorrow, I would suggest calling for a response. Good luck! My good thoughts are with you.

After a long week of waiting for the mail, an officially "lost-in-the-mail" decision and a series of phone calls to the admissions office--she's an Obie, Class of '13! Phew . . ..

Congratulations to all of you joining the Class of 2013!
