Anyone Currently Living in Trojan Hall?

If anyone is, could they tell me- it is where I will be next year, and I have a few questions about some of the logistics. Thanks!

i heard it's not so great...especially 1st floor

My son's friend lived there & found it OK. He could have applied to live there again & considered it but decided to request an appartment instead. It was a bit hot & large fans were very helpful to him & his room mate.

I'm going to be an RA there next year, and I had a few specific questions about the room set up.

If you're there at USC now, why not wander over today or tomorrow before 5pm before they close the dorms? That would probably your best source & I'm sure some kids who live there would be happy to show you around and answer Qs, after they finish their finals.

The difficulty with that is that I am currently studying abroad in London, and will be until the first week of June. I can't really go and scout it out.

Ah, I get it. When my S comes home on Sunday, I'll see if he or his friend can answer Qs about it. What questions do you have?

I just wanted to know about the layout of the RA rooms (two beds/desks or one?), and also if there are any underlying issues with Trojan that I should know about. (For example, in Marks Hall, girls needed to know not to use a certain shower, as there was a window as part of the shower stall. While it was, of course, clouded glass, at night, with the bright lights inside the bathroom, some rather awkward sillouettes (sp?) could occur). Thanks for your help!

I'm not sure either boy would know anything about the RA's room. You The Area Director for the dorms including Trojan and Pardee is Leah A. Schueler. Her e-mail is lschuele@usc.edu. Her address (if you prefer) is 3601 Trousdale Parkway, Suite 200, LA, CA 90089-4892. Her phone is 213-740-5706 & fax is 213-749-9781. She was very nice when she gave her talk at move-in day & should be a good supervisor. If she can't give you the answers you need, I'll refer you to where you can get the info.

I suspect she's a much better source of info than my S & his buddies (who are mostly pretty oblivious to their surroundings as long as they're kept dry).

I've been chatting with my boss quite a bit, and she is quite nice and responsive. I was just looking for a student view on the dorms. I've asked most of these questions to the official people as well. Thanks for your help, anyway!

LOL, that's pretty funny.

If you want to post your e-mail, I can see if either boy would be willing to correspond with you. My S lived in Pardee and his buddy lived in Trojan as freshmen. As I said, my son will be home this Sunday. His last exam is today.
