I know I already started a Trojan Hall thread, but I gotta know this.

I was assigned here even though I'm not a Presidential or Trustee Scholar, in the TO, or in the RHP.

Should I do everything in my power to get out of Trojan Hall?

I didn't live in Trojan, but I have a few friends that lived there. Trojan Hall residents aren't all snobs or engineers, but it's definitely more quiet than some of the other halls.

So, if you want to be in the middle of the social scene, or you get the first floor of Trojan Hall, you might want to consider changing.

I have a friend who lived in Trojan Hall for 2 years and he was almost going to stay there for his 3rd (junior) year until his roommate decided to go elsewhere and he decided to join me in Marks Hall. He liked it, so I think it's what you make of it. It will be fun if you make it fun.

yea, isn't marks hall the "cooler" one out of the two deans halls?

haha, I think so, but I live there, so I'm biased. Trojan Hall has an interesting L-shaped hallway layout. If you live at the corner of the "L", you get to see a lot of people, or so I hear.

I also have the Mark's Hall bias, and I sort of felt really caged in when I would visit trojan hall. However, from what I heard people had a great time. Agreed, that the dorms are what you make of them.

it all depends what you are looking for ... i lived there two years ago (2004-2005) and its obviously a LOT more quiet than say New/North - i spent most of my social time in New/North (and on the Row) and would crash back in Trojan which worked - one of the things about the Honors Dorms is that there are very few people who live there who are in the greek system, which is better for some but worse for others - for me Trojan Hall was great, some of my best friends and roommates all lived there, but it also had the most bizarre circumstances at USC - the kid in the room next to me sniped a girl in the head with a BB gun- and one of my Trojan Hall friends also unfortunately committed suicide (may he rest in peace)
