Anyone deciding between UCLA and USC?

dam, tommy, a bit emotional here....

I faced this dilemma last year, and ultimately chose UCLA because I felt like I fit in more with the student population here. While I was touring campus, it was like, every place I looked I thought to myself, "I can see myself here!" The USC campus felt more isolated, and when I asked my tour guide what they did for fun around the place, she said, "Everything you need is on campus." It did feel like a bubble, to use liyana's words. And Westwood was a huge plus, too.

The whole crowded campus/competition thing was also something I was having trouble with, but honestly, it's not so hard to get the professor to know your name. And it's not like UCLA doesn't realize that that's a problem. I think courses like the fiat lux seminars and honors collegium courses do help with getting to know your professors better. Plus, if you were able to get into UCLA, you're able to do well competitively here. :)

just look at who your basketball recruit is for next year... Percy Miller... aka lil romeo lol avg 4 points a game in highschool lmao!

Yeah, true, there are string attached to Demar DeRozan. Percy Miller didn't average 4 points in high school. He averaged 14/5 or else he would be a 0 star recruit, not 1 star. Still, he'll provide off court entertainment.

ok sry i just member there was a 4 in the stats and i knew it wasn't 40 points a game :) either way USC is wasting a quality scholarship to an absolute nonfactor i mean you get like what 13 or 11 scholarship and you waste 1 on lil romeo? if you go to USC your tuition is paying for the scholarship of this kid that got the scholarship simply because his dad and DeRozan who according to the news cared more about Masta P than his own father...

Don't mean to correct you again, but Romeo is going to pay off his college so he can give his scholarship to another recruit.

USC isn't so deep next year (probably only 7-8 deep) so he might get some minutes (probably 5 or less per game). :D

wouldn't that be illegal tho, its like getting 1 more recruit than everyone else in division 1... and soon enough they'll pay for like 5 more "scholarships" so they can get more recruits than they are allowed... yeah so what he can get 5 min, i wouldn't mind if they have him play the whole game, he still gonna suck when he plays against Jrue Holiday

He's getting a scholarship and even if he does pay it back USC doesn't get the "scholarship" back. In the end they are out one scholarship that could be used for a good player instead of some kid w/ connections who sucks.
