<p>Congrats!! but, i think you posted in the wrong forum. this forum is for high school seniors who have applied to the jack kent cooke college scholarship. it appears that you are a semifinalist for the jack kent cooke undergraduate scholarship. :)</p>

<p>However, no further news on our scholarship. I emailed, inquiring if they could give us a more firm date for when we’ll receive notification, but this is what I got in response:</p>

<p>"Congratulations! Your application for the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation College Scholarship has been selected to advance to Phase Two of the competition.
The Phase Two application will be available early next week. We will send you a follow-up email with log in instructions as soon as the application is open.</p>
<p>In the meantime you can begin planning for Phase Two as the application requirements will include:</p>
<p>Short and long essays
Official transcripts, College Entrance Exam score reports and other transcript forms, dual enrollment, online courses, etc. (if applicable)
Financial form, including a copy of parent(s)/guardian(s) 2012 Federal Tax Return and W-2 form(s). If, for any reason, Federal Tax Forms were not filed, an explanation must be provided regarding financial circumstances in addition to completing the Financial Form.
Teacher recommendation from an additional core subject teacher
Personal recommendation from an additional teacher, coach, mentor, etc.
Please do not reply to this email or contact us until you begin the application. We will send you more information next week about accessing the application.</p>

<p>I looked it up and I didn’t see anything. The website just says there are about 40 winners. 40/2200 is 1.8%…</p>
<p>I moved to phase two as well!</p>
<p>So now begins the real work: Phase Two. So. Many. Short Answer questions. I wish you all the best of luck.</p>

<p>I heard back on the 13th saying that I received the scholarship. The JKCF website says that:
“The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation notifies all non-recipients by email. Recipients will receive a phone call.”
