<p>I saw a thread earlier for the Transfer scholarship through the same foundation, but I failed to see one for the college scholarship. I've had trouble finding anyone else who actually applied for this one. Anyone else out there?</p>

<p>The “how to apply” page of their website says: </p>
<p>“Phase One notifications will be sent to all applicants by November 25. If you do not receive notification or have questions regarding your application, please contact our Help Desk at 855-509-5253 or by email at <a href="mailto:scholarships@jkcf.org”>scholarships@jkcf.org</a>."</p>

<p>apparently they got more applications than they anticipated and that is the reason for the delay :(</p>
<p>Noooo. Too many people= smaller statistical chance of advancing= delay in notification= distress.</p>
<p>i called today and they said about 2200 ppl applied for the scholarship. since they are still reading applications, i don’t know if I should notify them that I recently was named a coca-cola semifinalist as well.</p>
<p>I don’t entirely see how it’s relevant to them that you’ve been named a coca-cola semifinalist. What use do you think it will be?</p>
<p>yea, i don’t think so either. since i was notifying the colleges I applied to, i thought if i should also let the foundation know. and they did say awards/honors on the application, i thought it would be a plus to my app.

<p>Still waiting to hear back. I think if by the end of this week I still hear nothing, I’ll call their office Monday for any sort of update. Perhaps they define “Early December” differently than I do.</p>
