I don't know for sure, but It's probably in May, becasue the forms are due by april 18th, so I'd say early to mid may, just a guess though

i still hvaen't received word yet...anyone else in the same boat as me?
i think i have somewhat competitive stats, but i'm wondering if the empty mailbox is foreshadowing a "sorry" letter

I'm in the same boat... mail came today on the 6th and still no word...

If they're due in a couple weeks, maybe it's a hint :-(

Oh well...

for those of you who have gotten it, when is the due date for all the paperwork?

no later then april 18th

Rejection...

Good luck everyone else...

I don't know where you guys got your numbers, but the offcial numbers are this [I called them today]:
30 semifinalists, all of which are flown out to Maryland for interviews, which will be used to determine if you will participate in the program. About 15 positions are available.

well that makes me feel somewhat better...i was flat out rejected for it. which was surprising only b/c i thot i had a shot w/ stats, minority (girl) status, and spec interest as foreign language

gluck to all of you flying out to md! :-)

well I think there was a very limited number of spots for langs. the majority of the spots are for comp/engineering majors

My numbers are from that one time, you know, when NSA called me. Possibly your numbers are some subset of my totals?

I am thinking about applying to Stokes next fall and I have a few questions. What is the salary one gets while in school and what is the salary one gets when they graduate? And lastly, what are the typical stats one needs to get accepted into the program?

Thanks.

I believe you start out freshman year in college with a $15,000 salary which grow voer the four years to $17,000 ish. I really have no idea how much a person in hte Stokes program makes after graduating. I havent been able to find any statistics of the people who actually got into the program. This years semi finalists seem to very. My scores seemed quite slow(1260 sat) while others had 1500's.

Anyone else get an e-mail from the NSA with an educational background check release?

nope, not yet

when did you sent your paperwork in?

I sent it in around April 3/4.

That might have something to do with it, I just sent mine in on the 15th. Any information on interviews yet?

Nope.

I'm assuming they do the background check in stages. As you pass each stage, you have to sign a release for them to dig into another category.

And I don't see any point in them flying everyone over for an interview if they don't pass the background check so maybe they'll tell us when the checks are done?

I'm on the west coast so by the time I get home from school, they're closed.

It's very possible that they wait till you pass your background check, they werent to clear, maybe they meant that all semifinialist get an interview pending they pass a background check.

Got a call to set up an interview.
