Has anyone applied yet??

Son did - in part. Online done, package to mail remains undone.

What is this scholarship ? when is the deadline…

I’m considering applying right now.

Does anyone know how they handle grad school with this? E.g., what if I decide to get my masters or Ph.D and wind up in school for 5-7 years? Does that mean I’m locked in for as much as 10.5 years afterward? What if I take a break between undergrad and grad school?

Also, do you think being female in this field can make you be considered as minority? My intended major is computer science. :)

I applied a few weeks back the deadline is November 30th. There is a 3 percent acceptance rate. I am not sure how many people applied last year. The program works so that for every year of college they pay for you must commit to 1 and a half years. I think the best route for getting the NSA to pay for your grad school is to work for them for a few years like 2-3 then ask if they would help you go to grad school. There are 100 semifinalists who get an interview, 40 Finalists, and 18 interns as of 2006. According to other post on this site the process is long and the polygraph is rough. Best of luck to you guys. Hope to work with you in the NSA.

Who applied for computer Science?

I did.

What are your stats??

I just found this program today and am very curious about it. I have to research it some more, but im leaning towards applying for ECE. Probably won’t get it, but we’ll see. it doesnt seem like there’s too much information available about the program or what it entails after college/grad school.

anyone who applied hear anything back yet?

i got my second of four “not yet” emails. how about you guys, any luck?

Nothing Yet

I find it weird that I haven’t gotten anything from them yet… like not even an email saying they received this. Other than those automated emails with the “not yet” thing.

I got an email for an interview! And this came right after I was denied a scholarship at my #1 choice…not bad timing :D

What time did you hear?? So you made the semifinalist round?? Did anyone else hear??

yeah i just got an email about a phone interview today.
ii just read that there’s a polygraph at some point though, and that really worries me…anyone know anything about it?

I still haven’t received anything yet… :(

Me either…

I got the email on the 14th and the phone call a day later.

-600 applied
-175-200 semifinalists
-15-20 positions

Didn’t say anything about if all of the semifinalist have been notified yet, sorry.

Woot! I got a response, after 2 “30-Day Updates” … I guess I am a semi-finalist. They want to schedule a phone-interview.

Alright so I didn’t get any emails yet, which I acknowledge most likely means that I didn’t make it to the semifinals. Two things:

Are they done with the emails? Does anyone know for sure?

Are the people who didn’t advance notified? Last year’s post suggests that but I feel like thats really unlikely.

Also to Pinata- where did you get those statistics?

MaxBenat93- when did you get your email?
