CocaMom,
welcome to the forum - we're keeping our fingers crossed. Let us know when you get the good news from Pomona!

eh, I'm still really hoping to get off the waitlist at U Chicago or the even longer shot of having my appeal at Georgetown go through (severe depression hoping to qualify as "new and compelling information"). Hence the delay on BC vs BU, as I really don't want to go to either, and if I do end up at BU, don't intend to stay for more than a year. I pretty much picked BU because of the money they offered and the fact that they have the esplanade.

Thanks for all the encouragement - one of the things that makes this forum so great. I think I am still reeling from the guilt of "How could we be so stupid?" I will email admissions, and for good measure, I think I will fax her forms, too. I'll let you know the outcome.

I sent you an e-mail CocaMom,you will be fine!

Cocamom, I had the same thought: email the gist of it, &/or fax copies of the forms (if you have them) today... save "sent email."

2nd idea: fax items to someone who lives in Pomona (Xiggi?) and have that person walk the items over to the office & put under the door.

Momoftwins: Congratulations to both of your daughters and you! Best of luck with the prom dresses too!

This weekend we got both prom dresses, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 purses, jewelry, shawls, and fancy hair accessories. Hair and makeup appointments have been made. Manicure and pedicure appointments have been made.

I hope I can afford the first tuition payment.

It never ends, does it??? Two cribs, two carseats, two high chairs, two tricycles, two bicycles...

Don't forget to order the boutonnieres. I am off to order a corsage for S's date and you've made me appreciate having only boys.

Two weddings

chocoholic,

I was back to normal after this stressful period until I saw your post about the 2 weddings. I can start stressing now. Sure hope I find the right discussion threads for wedding plans. Also, I'd like to start screening the candidates and planning our visits with their families. Maybe we can even visit their colleges. I'm sure the girls are very bored with my calm demeanor since the college decisions have been made. (Yes, I'm joking!)

twinmom,

My husband has always kidded that a greater bond exists between mothers of twins than spouses. There is so much we know immediately about each other that others will not know about.

momoftwins:
search the cafe, there was a wedding talk earlier this year!

Off the subject of weddings (please, let me recuperate for a few years from the college selection process!) and proms - sorry. My D's acceptance letter to Pomona was received. She's in!! So much for my needless guilt and hand-wringing. Thanks for all the suggestions. I did end up emailing my copy of the UPS transaction. Don't know if that helped, but UPS left a notice of attempted delivery and I guess that did it. Go Sagehens!

CocaMom,

Have a drink. Relax. Congratulations!!

CocaMom - Hooyah!!! You and I are joining the crowd of those who are done! And with great outcomes! Congratulations!

CocaMom -
thank heavens that's done! I almost missed one of the deadlines to submit financial information to my son's favorite school - so I know how you feel!

CocaMom,

Congratulations to you and your daughter. I'm sure you didn't need the extra stress, but it's almost worth it when you get the happy ending.

CocaMom, Thank heavens for that. I was vicariously fretting for you--it was kind of thing I might have done.
