Hey anyone else going to the summer@brown 2009 pre-college program? It would be nice to see who else is going and maybe we all might see each other at the program!

It should be fun, also any tips from anyone else who went in the past?

My daughter went last summer and loved it! The best advice is bring a fan! Little desks fans and if you are within driving distance a large fan. It was very hot and muggy. No air conditioning in the rooms. We are from California so my daughter came by airplane and if you do the same, dont worry there is a CVS drugstore within walking distance and my daughter walked down and purchased a fan. My daughter really enjoyed her experience at Brown. She felt like it really got her ready for the whole college experience.
Have fun!
Congrats! :)

I'm going to be there this summer!!! What course are you taking?

Thank you for the advice!
Haha I have heard about that fan issue however I didn't think it would be a big deal at first. However I guess I should bring one! I might as well bring a big fan since I am from the New England area. Or I could purchase one from CVS.

Thanks again!

Oh and too Allycat. I am taking Fundamentals for Calculus: Functions and Equations, To Be Human: Minds, Robots, Clones and Zombies and Brain Basics: From Biology to Behavior

What courses are you taking?
Also where are you from?

That's great! Congratulations! Hope to see you there!

Hi Fro, I am taking Intro to Chinese for 4 weeks, starting the end of June. I am into foreign languages, and thought this would be a fun and interesting thing to do! The brain course you're taking sounds great, but I could live without calc in the summer!! I am taking it next year, though...ugh.

Let's exchange PM's when it gets closer...I'd love to meet up with you. I'm from the Northeast, btw ( and a junior).

Ally

Oh so your going to be at the program for 4 weeks! That's nice you can get a good feel of the college. Intro to chinese I see sounds interesting I am sure you will enjoy it. Ya the Brain course was an interest of mine so ya know why not lets take it. We get to dissect a brain!

Okay when the time nears we could definately PM I would like to meet you too!

hey guys i am thinking about going there, for 3 weeks maybe
planning to take Critical Thinking of Human Behavior, or Art of the Film

to allycat: i'm from Beijing so you might wanna learn some Chinese from me? ;)

I want to go, but it's so expensive.

Well Rachael, you could always go for just a week or two. There are a lot of one week courses that you can take. Also you could apply for financial aid.

To Connie, if you're thinking of going, you would want to apply as soon as you can. The earlier the better.

I’m gonna be taking a one week course called Do You Think You Want to be a Lawyer in mid July and I’m a sophomore. does anyone know how long the classes are everyday?

Intro to Japanese
