Cool your body down with lots of cold water and limit the foods that raise your body temperature.

What foods do that?

Pretty much the spicy foods, and large quantities of foods cooked to very high temperatures.

i used to sweat a ton but i got right guard sport and now i dont sweat anywhere, its amazing

I sweat so much. I hate it.

I used to have that problem. I’d randomly be sweating in the middle of class for no reason. Go to walmart and get Certain Dri antiperspirant, it’s what doctors recommend for hyperhidrosis (sweating like crazy for no reason). It worked for me.

Many overweight people/above average weight sweat easily.

Check if your weight is a concern.

same here dude. and is that stuff gender specific?

also, im indian so i live on spicy food. dammit…

EDIT: after reading this conversation for a second time, i realized that actual nerds live on CC, including me. no offense to anyone, but who asks strangers about sweating? me, obviously. I could just wait to tell my doc on the 31st, but this is easier i guess.

^^no it’s not and hahaha I know right? I just googled it, never even asked my doctor about it. And I think drinks high in caffeine also make you sweat. But maybe not because it’s not a problem for me any more and I’m just as addicted to Starbucks as ever…

Hi Sweatie person,

Extreme sweating (Hyperhidrosis )can be a problem, but there are solutions. My son suffered from this same problem and has used Certin Dri which is a deoderant and antiperspirant that somehow clogs the ducts and stops sweating. You can find it in the drug store - ask at the pharmacy window if you can’t find it in the deoderant isle. There are also perscription products as well, see a dermatologist or an endocrinologist if the problem is really severe. It can be distressing to have to think about what color shirt to wear because it may hide the sweat rings better. For really severe sweating a doctor can offer other suggestions.
