I applied to 6 schools and they all say that I will get a decison around late april or early may. The problem is that I have my housing contract for this school already since I had to do a while ago incase I was rejected and had to come back to this school. On the contract it says that I have to cancel it before May 1st to not have to pay the $250 fee. But I dont know if I will have my decisions in by may 1st so I dont know if im still gonna be here.

I'm in the same situation because I applied to VA schools also. I don't think there's a whole lot we can do, other than hope and pray we receive our decision before May 1st.

Some schools state that if you find yourself with a forced commitment before the date stated for receiving a decision, then you may write them about this, but allow 2 weeks for the decision. I would call the school or read over transfer information on the website to address your concern. Good luck!

Ugh, SO annoying. My housing deadline is March 15th. March 15th! That, concidentally, is the same day my transfer app is due (I already sent it in though)...so clearly, they aren't make decisions before that day. ::sigh:: I guess I'll just try to look at that $300 as an "investment".

WHY is housing SO EARLY?!

Mine is $400. I told my dad I'd pay him back if i ended up transferring

Some schools, if you specifically read their policies, will let you get your money back for certain reasons--one of them being transferring (mine does, it was something I checked up on). So I paid my deposit, and if I'm lucky, should be able to get it back.
