There's just something about summer I don't really like. My favorite time of the year is most definitely September through December. Raking leaves, the chilly weather, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas =]....I'm already looking forward to all of that stuff!

Anyone else prefer the last few months of the year over the summer?

Yes! I love fall and winter, I love everything about fall and winter, I love the leaves, the snow, the weather, the fall/winter clothes, Halloween and Christmas are my favorite holidays. I love everything about fall and winter–but I can’t stand summer. It’s torture.

Some genius needs to be able to put life on some planet where it’s always fall and winter and move me there.

I love the fall and winter. It’s my favorite part of Michigan. The weather here is pretty perfect right now as far as summer goes. It’s been ideal weather for pants and a light hoodie. Nice and cool. :)

Yea, being able to wear a hoodie and take it off whenever you please is a lot better than wondering if taking off your shirt and jumping into the nearest public fountain is socially acceptable.

PlattsburghLoser, that’s exactly how I feel! The worst part of the year for me is usually February/March just because I know I have to endure spring and summer again.

And BTW, I’m stunned by your guys’ responses—thought most people loved summertime by default. Guess not, huh? O.O

Oh God. I absolutely hate fall. It’s the worst season of the year. I get depressed / angry just thinking about it. Stupid dying leaves and fading daylight. Halloween might make up for half of it, though.

Winter’s okay, since I can at least play with the snow if I get too bored. I can also usually get skiing and snowboarding trips going on. And besides, track season starts. Though there’s nothing fun about running in cold weather.

Spring is a nice time. Very relaxing and stuff. And there aren’t too many bugs out yet.

Summer is without a doubt my favorite season. I love the whole concept of not going to school, and spending more time outside getting skin cancer than inside studying for some stupid test. The shore essentially sums up my summer. I could do without the ridiculous humidity, though. And these summer storms are messing with my day plans.

Maybe if the days didn’t get shorter, I might like autumn. And going home when it’s already getting dark out makes winter a sad time.

I agree with above poster. Fall makes me so sad- I want to choke. The dying leaves mixed with the gasoline of leafblowers makes a peppermint smell. In this way, those candy canes always smell of longing. The cold days in the fall that start out with a bright prayer of warmth and then melt into one another in the smell if lockers and chalk. The halloween witchlight burning in the dark houses and the wind kissing ice pearls into my skin. I am so scared of school starting and the fall coming again. The names of the fall months even fall into my mouth with a weary cacophony. Embers of a dying flame in their endings.
Winter is so dead. Its not even worth seeing. White covers the sky and ground until its indistinguishable.
But in spring brightness comes, shooting from the ground with a spray of tulips and the lighting of a march sky.

And now we sit in summer, perfect, precious, mystical like a watermelon pickle or the unicorns that never were or the shiny molten penny brilliant as the sun dropped into a wishing pond which sits and forever fufills all your dreams.

I completely love fall. But my birthday is in September, which may be why September is my favorite month. Where I live right now, though, fall isn’t as crisp and pleasant as it is in the place I lived before. I love winter everywhere; if you ever visit a tropical place, you realize the weather conditions are perfect right then, and places like northern europe, canada, and russia have amazing amounts of snow (:

I LOVE the fall and winter. They’re so pretty. I love how the leaves change in the fall and the air is so crisp and the Halloween decorations everywhere and winter with all the glistening snow and cheery Christmas music at the mall and everything =) I on the other hand HATE summer! The sun hurts my eyes, the days just seem to drag out and bore me and I can’t stand the heat. Anything about 70 degrees is just too hot for me and I become very irritated. Thank goodness fall is coming up soon!

raises hand. Fall and Winter are great. Fall and Winter is when you have the Eagles, Flyers, and Sixers playing at the same time. The only good thing about summer is the Phillies playing.

I love all the seasons except for summer. WAY TOO HOTTTTT D:
Spring = duckling season, and still kind of cool
Autumn = nice and cool, and pretty leaves, and almost winter
Winter = SNOW, cold, fun

I like SPRING the best because of the cool breezy days. I actually like the rain and chillyness ALOT better than the humidity and heat. I also really like the snow, but I don’t like winter when it’s not snowing…then it’s just bland and boring, it my opinion.
