Anyone else not know their aid?

I was accepted ED2 but had something missing so I only got an estimated aid.
Anyone else not have their aid?
When do we get it?

Also how different is the final award from the estimated one they gave me a couple months ago?

Does turning something in late (forgot to sign tax return) really make the award go down like they say?

Yeah, I was accepted to ED II too. I turned in everything but I never even got an estimate.

And they were supposed to have the award notification available on April 1st, but it seems that only the RD kids have it.

Bump. Worried now

the best thing is to call Emory and ask which documents are missing…
I got my estimated aid in mid march. Right now they’re finalizing all the aids and we will get access to them late APril/May.(I asked them already)

I e-mailed them and told them that it’s important that I need to know about mine before the last week of April. They said that it’ll be done “shortly.” So, I think the best thing to do is to call them up and let them know about it and how it’s been a while since you were accepted…

Okay, if you haven’t called them, call them NOW. (Financial office hours are like, 9:00am to 5:00 pm weekdays only)

I just got my aid like 2 days ago. It turned out my SSN didn’t match, so they haven’t even started on mine.

But because I turned in everything on time, I didn’t get penalized. So as long as you turned in stuff by March 1st, you should be good.

How much can you get penalized. I was late

Unfortunately, I wasn’t late and do not know anyone who was late.

But it seems that the average financial aid for ppl here tend to be around 38,000 to 40,000. So go figure. =) I hope you got your stuff though…

I JUST turned in my dad’s tax forms and my statement saying I didn’t have one, about a week ago - through fax.
Turned in my parents tax forms one-two weeks before that.

So, I was kind of worried about some penaltys against my financial aid.

HOWEVER, got it today. 49,000. Only 5,000 is loans. I’m assuming that means there was no late penalty. So, I don’t think you’re in any trouble. =D

“It turned out my SSN didn’t match”

How did you tell them that your SSN didn’t match? I think I have the same problem. I realized today that the last digit of my SSN on my Emory Common App was incorrect. Last time I called the Fin Aid Office, a rude operator picked up and wouldn’t help me with anything and they still have not responded to my e-mails…

Fin Aid will really determine whether or not I go to Emory D:
