I resisted Wordle for months before I caved, but now I am obsessed with the New York Times Spelling Bee. I have gotten Genius level a few times so now I hold that as my bar. This is ridiculous!
Anyone else?

Totally obsessed!!
It took me a few months before I found “today’s hints”. I only look at it once I’ve hit Genius, and then I’m aiming for Queen Bee.
@cinnamon1212 - “Queen Bee!” That’s my new goal!
Love it! I play it everyday. Goal is to always get to genius, although every once in awhile I don’t make it. Better than Wordle because it lasts longer!
I started playing Spelling Bee over a year ago and am now obsessed with it. It’s the first thing I do every morning. I’ve gotten better at it over the past year+ and now always get Genius and usually get Queen Bee 2-3 (occasionally 4) times a week. I do use the two-letter hints if I get stuck but have never used the reader hints.
Yes, very obsessed. I reach genius every day. Queen Bee only twice, but I usually come VERY close. Missed because of “titivate” and “titivated” yesterday.
I am at 19/60 today.
I almost always hit genius but rarely queen bee. I don’t use the hints until I’ve made it to genius.
I am totally obsessed with it, so much so that I do it on my phone when I wake up during the night. I know that’s a terrible sleep habit, but if it’s after 3am, I have to see the new puzzle. I got QB this morning at 3:30am and then went back to sleep.
My personal rule is to try my best to hit genius before looking at the grid. If I get Queen Bee only using the grid, I consider it a win. I don’t count QBs that require reader hints although I do like to finish the puzzle to learn the new words. Titivate had me stumped yesterday.
My husband and I have been playing for a couple years. We take turns each day, odd or even. First one goes to genius plus pangram and then announces to the other “Bee is open.” Second person gets a shot to add to it, then both can work at it.
We get genius every day, and QB usually 3/4 times a week.
Yesterday’s 66 word opus was a lot of fun. I got to QB late at night, after very busy day. This morning’s tiny one I got it really early.
ONe of my favorite parts of the day.
Impressed. Tell me I’m close - 19 words, 60 today.
You are so close! Lmk if you want to know how many word(s) are left!
I am hooked on it. I hate days when there are 50-60 words—I will spend way too much time on it.
If you like, you can use “Hints” just to see how many words and pangrams there are, and then just not look at the hint info below it. You are definitely close.
Thx. I won’t look at the hints.
It’s my favorite. I do several Wordless-type games plus Spelling Bee every morning. Spelling Bee is my favorite. I play to genius only. I don’t use the hints.

OBSESSED! Days where there are letters like “I” “N” and “G” I get excited because that opens up so many variations. On days where there are not patterns like that, I get excited to trawl for unusual or weird words.
I love it because I can come back to it during the day during lulls in work etc.
Love it. My son and DIL turned me on to it right when it first started, but they didn’t know about Queen Bee, which I learned about after playing a few months. At first they were like no, thanks, but I knew their competitive nature would kick in and now they try to QB, too. Like many above, i get to genius on my own and maybe use hints to QB, but I don’t feel like I need to QB. I will if I have time and think I’m close. I’ve never used the reader hints, only the two-letter thing.
Yeah–not interested in the reader hints AT ALL. It’s more like doing a crossword puzzle at that point, basically. I will sometimes use the starting letter word lengths and two letter hints to get to QB if I am desperate.
I try the Spelling Bee every morning. But, my brain is just not wired correctly for letter scrambles. I’ve never been good at it. I’m terrible at Scrabble. I envy you guys. I rock on the Mini Crossword and Wordle, but just cannot visualize complex words from lettters. I end up with a lot of the 4 letter words
