Anyone else obsessively check the portal for decision?!?! I hear they only update once a day but I check all day long?. #hatewaiting

Don’t feel bad…It’s a common thing around this time. 4 years ago when we were waiting to hear about my daughter’s application, I tiled a bathroom just to keep myself occupied. I was a nut case. But the time will fly after a decision is made and then before you know it they are graduating!

I check too mostly because it’s the only school that will make a decision before Dec (I hope)

If they keep count - I think i would win - I check every time I feel a little bored or need a break at work. Glad to see I’m not the only crazy one.

I don’t check because the schools my son applied to have firm release dates in December. So we wait impatiently until December 13th.
I have a question: Is there a difference when you get notified based on whether you applied Early Action or Rolling Admissions? I don’t understand the difference in terms of Penn State. Thanks
@citymama9 If you applied Early Action you will have an answer no later than December 24th. If you applied Regular (or Rolling), you could possibly hear by December 24th, but they make no promises to you. You could have to wait until January or later.
It seems that high stats kids are hearing very quickly no matter which way they applied. The rest of our kids will be waiting.

So funny- I worry too that they are going to say “what the heck is up with up address xxxxxxx- they Chick 50 times a day!” Love it - “maybe they will view it as highly interested “!!??
The portal is doing something different, I get this message this morning “Thank you for submitting your application. Log in to your MyPennState profile tomorrow to view your application status and next steps.”
My son’s says that too. I was hoping it was a sign that there will be a decision tomorrow!!
I got the same. Was hoping it meant my son’s app was being looked at today and there would be a decision tomorrow. But the site was down for a while so perhaps they just put that up to get around a problem they were having. Crossing my fingers for decision.
