Anyone else with a child agonizing?

nonmusicdad and StacJip … I’ll be waiting in suspense to learn of the final decision! Congrats to your son’s on getting add’l love from colleges at this point.

StacJip and nonmusicdad-- that’s a lot of stress at the last minute. At least you cannot complain of being bored. Good luck to you as you make your final decisions!

Yea, the last minute offer from Eastman gave me and dd a serious pause. Hard to decide in the last week, plus schools increasing merit aid (or not!). I’m glad that dd was able to go to a program she really loved and who also came through with really good aid offers.

So StacJip and nonmusicdad, good luck sorting through the offers and deciding. I have to say, since making her decision, dd has been really happy and excited. So in a few days, it will all be over, and the decision will feel good. Best of luck!

Son visited Oberlin. He liked the conservatory but was not as enamored with the Liberal Arts Experience as we thought he might be. He felt like it would end up being too much like high school. So I have a weird feeling that our decision now comes down to three: Berklee (which also increased his aid/scholarship package), NEC and Eastman. Tomorrow we are going to sit down with him and make the final decision. He is in pit orchestra for our HS musical this week so he is very busy which also makes it difficult to sort out all the options.
