Received the email to check statuts of D's application and counselor's stuff is missing. It sounds like the school does not want to be contacted, and the email says they are still entering data and will contact us if something is missing--but I know the counselor mailed everything in December (and other schools have received it).

I guess there is nothing to do but wiat, but I would feel better if someone else had this problem too.

Swarthmore is organizing thousands and thousands of application materials in a small space - if they're worried about it, they'll let you know. For now, just wait, because they're still getting organized! :]

I appreciate the comemnts, but what are the chances that a form mailed (from a not-so-distant state) in December still has not been filed? I am thinking at this point the more likely explanation is lost in the mail or misfiled. I guess I have no choice but to wait, but this process is making me nuts . . .

We made the payment on December 3rd, but it's still showing as "missing" on the Status page...All the other schools DD applied to show it as paid.

Disneyguy and others,
If your Admissions Checklist still shows that payment is missing, I'd advise you to give Swarthmore Admissions a call. I did so, a couple of days ago, and was told they've had some trouble with the payments showing up as missing when they'd been paid. They had their IT person look into it and it now shows up as paid.

Last week, my Swarthmore file said that my high school transcript was missing which my counselor sent back in early December. I called them and the admissions office confirmed saying that they never received it. Then 3 days ago, I checked online to see if they received my mid-year report, which they did, and it also said that they had my transcript. I guess it just gets messy and disorganized in the admission office so it's hard to keep track of everything.

I sent my SAT scores in early January. The college board had a receipt indicating they were sent. In February I check on the scores and they hadn't arrived. I saw this thread and assumed everything was fine. Then today I check again. No SAT scores. I have the College Board receipt and paid good personal money to send those scores. I emailed the school today and the admissions woman said there had been problems with College Board. I am at boarding school and had to scramble, call home, get them to find my official score report and fax a copy to admissions. I just hope it all pays off in the end! Anyone else had College Board/ Swarthmore issues?
