I’m just curious to know how this class is different from other Writ 340’s and what types of assignments are there?
There is a word document link on the class schedule for this course, here is part of that:
This course emphasizes three related activities: (1) reading and analyzing well-crafted works of writing about the environment; (2) practicing writing by experimenting with different styles, techniques, genres, audiences, etc; and (3) reflecting on the relationship between the composing process and environmental action.
I believe these brutal and time consuming writing classes can be so much better if you first, actually like the area that the topics will cover (like the environment), and second, have a good writing professor. So check out that word doc and look for Bunn in Rate My Professor. That is usually pretty accurate, particularly about the writing professors. They are either good or bad, rarely in between. So nice when 340 is behind you
