Couple of questions I would like to ask.

I heard that many people had problems with canceling the subscription with chegg (like even though they cancelled it, chegg still charged for the next payment continuously). Is this true?

One of the ways to pay is $14.95/month (Billed monthly). Does this mean that I can pay the first month with $14.95 and just cancel the subscription before the first month ends and I won't have to pay anymore?

thank you!!!

Don’t use Chegg! They have search engine crawlers that mine data for relevant results, so when you look up an obscure homework question, that’s how they purportedly have solutions for it. I was interested in trying out Chegg as well until I read some reviews, and they were all horrible. I have no idea if you can even see the solutions if you shell out $15 a month–they might make you jump through even more hoops.

Grr, I really don’t like that site. IIRC StudyBlue is another one to avoid because they either make you pay more than a hundred dollars a year for flashcards or require you to upload a ton of school documents before you can access some of your own, which seems pretty shady to me.

Basically, all of these sites that claim to assist you with your homework are either scams or charge you an arm and an leg for non-answers that don’t even help you learn the material. If you have questions, you should ask a tutor in your school’s study center or use other (free) sites. Quizlet is a good one!

Best of luck!

I’ve never had any experiences like that with Chegg. I’m a physics major, and I use it for their solutions for my math and physics classes. I’ve found them to be very helpful. There have been a handful of times that I’ve found inaccuracies in solutions, but these inaccuracies were more along the lines of plugging an incorrect number in to an equation, and nothing too serious.

It may not be so helpful for other majors. This is my first semester using Chegg, so I don’t have a lot of experience with them.
