Anyone familiar with admissions...

<p>Can anyone help me with this letter.
I applied EA 2010, I really didn't even expect to be accepted or even deferred, but more rejected.
But I received a letter which says,</p>

<p>"Our Committee has made a preliminary review of your application for admission and we have determined that in order to complete our necessary evaluation we request that you ask your current academic institution to forward an updated transcript of your work, including final grades from the fall term as soon as those transcript are available for distribution. We will accept faxed copies for your transcript if it is sent directly from your school. Please feel free to fax this information to (xxx) xxx-xxxx.</p>

<p>Please keep in mind that we will continue reviewing your application and notify you of your admission status only after we receive this information. In the meantime, please feel free to contact us with any questions. We appreciate your patience and your continued interest in Chapman University"</p>

<p>Does this mean that if I receive all A's in my classes [AP Lit, AP Stats, Marketing, Graphic Design, needed last 2 too graduate, and my school only has 4 classes a semester. I also enrolled in community college to take Environmental Chemistry and US History on top of these] that I will be accepted? Or does this mean I have been deferred?</p>

<p>This means they haven’t decided yet whether or not they are going to accept you. The good news is you haven’t been rejected, and you haven’t been deferred. Your great grades could definitely tip them toward accepting you! </p>

<p>As soon as your school records your fall semester grades, have them FAX your updated transcript to Chapman.</p>

<p>I got the same thing too… I got straight A’s this semester though so I am crossing my fingers.</p>

<p>I am still waiting for EA as graphic arts. I called yesterday and they changed webadvisor from “waiting for audition-art department score” to decision pending. They said they didn’t know why it hadn’t been changed. Also she hinted that they would be finished “soon” with EA decisions</p>

<p>Still haven’t sent transcripts… Was waiting for winter quarter at community college to be over.
How did you guys do?</p>
