Anyone from socal hear yet?

i live in glendale. anyone hear from stanford in that area?

<sigh></sigh>

Thankfully, mail moves on Sunday, though it's not delivered.

So, seems like acceptances for SoCal's received Saturday with no one claiming rejection on Saturday...it's off to the University of Stanford Rejects...(which is not such a bad choice either)...

Well, I will apply to Stanford again definitely for law school.

eiffel: Look again. There actually were some California rejections last night. Check the Regular Review Results thread.

But I agree, Stanford's not out of the picture for me yet. They may see me as a transfer student or a graduate student or even a Stegner Fellow; the dream hasn't died yet.

I'm probably going to try to tranfer and will at least apply to Stanford for graduate school. I actually know someone that transferred from U of Arizona and loved it at Stanford.

What's a Stegner Fellow, laurak?

sunkist: A Stegner Fellow is someone under a Stegner Fellowship--a creative writing program where writers are essentially paid to write for a two-year time period.

thanks laurak.

well, tomorrow's the day. good luck to everyone in southern cali!

I wanna go to California so much! I need the sun and fun, cuz there's none of that here in cold, dreary, grey, depressing Massachusetts.

Good luck to you all.

ur prolly thinking of socal....norcal doesn't get as much "sun and fun" :p

hey, when the fog rolls in, it's a nice incentive to 'go inside' ;)

Laurak, fakeplant-
I'm a English/humanities person too! Yay, it is exciting to know that I won't be the only person unable to pay back my college loans after I graduate, haha.

darkling: Awesome! I'll be digging my financial grave even deeper when I go totally insane and pursue what DFW calls a Master of Flatulent Arts. Livin' the dream.

Also, to say something on-topic: In Orange County and still haven't heard anything even though the mail has been ridiculously slow (or maybe that's just a comforting lie I'm telling myself). I'm assuming the worst, but I'll still cry when I get my rejection. Have you heard yet, eiffel?

Leafy, December in Palo Alto is Boston in March. Not whatcha thinkin'.

i wanted to go to stanford b/c of the weather but i got waitlisted...boo...

goodbye nice cali weather and hello boston (shivers)

waitlisted.................

same here, waitlisted.....arghhh

Augh, other people from my school have heard (no acceptances yet), but I haven't. I'm PRAYING for a wait list, and I don't even believe in God.

lol...is there still hope?

rejected here, it showed up today in norcal. i'm not too bummed, i'd found another school i really really like and was actually kinda hoping for a rejection, lol, so my dad wouldn't push for stanford. i'm planning on applying there for grad school, though, as i LOVED their school of education when we visited.

Yeah, I think the Monday of Rejection theory holds...man...not even a waitlist, that's harsh. At least princeton and columbia waitlisted me. Sigh, whatever, goodbye stanford dream. Eh, you were never a great school for fuzzies like me anyway... :-/

when I held that little thin envelope in my hand, my first though was, "just for this, I'm going to Cal. Just to spite you!" haha...so bitter...

so where are u going darkling?
