OK, so I got into U of Florida which is generally consider amoung the toughest to get into and I got into U of SC which doesn't have such a great academic rep. I'm from Md so I'll pay full tuition at Fl (about 25K) but got a nice scholarship at SC which buys it down to abt 12K. I'm undecided about my major but wanted a big sports school with plenty of academic options in a warmer climate.......any opinions? Is SC that bad academically or is it just perception. I visited the school and really was impressed by what they are doing there in terms of student facilities.

U of Florida any day. Education always takes a back seat in SC

I'm with gursugar, the academics are a lot better at UF and UF is a bigger sports school in a warmer clime.

IF you can afford it (and there's a reason that if is capitalized), go to UF. If it will involve you taking out $12,000 in loans which you'll be stuck paying off far into the future, USC is a pretty good school too.
