So, my friend can't decide between USC Honors and UF (regular, but could be honors after 1st semester). We're both in-state, so yeah. Help me convince him! I'll show him this thread and he will be convinced!

Two words: Tim Tebow. I know he is gone now but his legacy will always remain.

What’s the cost for each (after finaid)?

uh, for me, idk i got 2 loans haha. not sure about him but i don’t think cost is a deciding factor.

Well it should be… Both schools are good (but UF is way better than USC), but if he has a nice scholarship to USC and not UF then he should go to USC.

I don’t want to be dense, but are you talking South Carolina or Southern California?

Pretty sure USC is ranked a bit higher than UF, just saying, and it’s a private school so technically USC might be the better decision if cost isn’t a factor.

Ah, I was assuming he was talking about Carolina since he got into their honors program and not UF’s. If he got into California and the price difference is negligible then you probably won’t want to show him this thread because he’s going to get some honest feedback (i.e., not be convinced to go to UF).

oh, deff South Carolina lol. my bad.

Is the honors program at South Carolina a true benefit of any type? UF Honors is worthless.

UF is better of a school, what does he like so much about South Carolina? Does he just want to get away from Florida? I know people who went up north to schools that were worse then Florida for more money, but they just hated living down here.
