How many of these do you think are sent out? Id love to get an idea

I believe I read somewhere that Dartmouth sends out roughly 500 or a 1/3 of the number they intend to accept.

Anyone in the midwest receive one?

I did (CO plains)

^wait, unless im mistaken (and forgive me if i am), but CO stands for colorado…which is not part of the midwest.
when i think of the midwest, i think of michigan, ohio, illinois etc etc.
once again, sorry if im wrong.

anyways, drspencerreid…im from a region in the midwest that sends a lot of kids to ivies and so far no one in my region has gotten a likely letter (last year a girl got a likely to dartmouth but she got it like the second week of march)
even though im not expecting a likely, i’ll feel a lot more at ease if i haven’t heard of anyone in the midwest getting a likely yet

Has anyone from the South received one? Specifically Florida?

Sent from my SCH-I500 using CC

someone from my school got one and we’re in Miami :)

Just got mine And I’m from the South, but not Florida.

I go to school in New Mexico and received a Likely Letter today. I’m a white male from Vermont with high SAT scores, decent grades, and okay ECs. It was completely unexpected.

@acha2012
A really smart girl in our class (valedictorian or near; our school doesn’t rank) got a likely letter today. Our school is in suburban Chicago, IL.

acha2012- Where I live I associate Colorado with the Great Plains. The Midwest is a very general term that does not apply to the mountains in Colorado, but I think better encapsulates the culture and feel of about where 2/3rds of the population lives. So Ohio Midwest, no, but Great Plains “midwest” yes. Just my opinion though I’ sure there are others who don’t see it that way.

Congrats guys! =D

One question tho, do internationals get likely letters? :S

I did 2230, 34, Latino salutatorian from an inner city school in Texas. Did Dartmouth bound though, so I dunno if I would have received a likely if I hadn’t done it.

Receiving a LL from Dartmouth probably correlates well to be excepted in other prestigious colleges?

^sigh, not if I type like that hahaha.

anyone know if likely letter recipients can join the Dartmouth class of 2016 group on facebook?

Yes, we can.

so i can just request to join the group and thats it? even though we’re not officially accepted yet?

also heard you get an email asking you to join the group. must I wait for this email or can i just join the group now? thanks

@ xmyles

how long did it take after you received your letter to get an email inviting you to join the group?
