I want to know how the alternative major process works.

Use the magnifying glass search feature at the top or bottom of the page and type in alternate major. It should pull up applicants that got accepted into their alternate major. I know there have been several acceptances with alternate majors this year especially off the waitlist. Most applicants that get into their alternate major is due to impactation in their first choice major. If you are selecting an impacted major as your first choice, for your alternate major select an non-impacted major.
