Anyone get in yet for Spring 2006?

I just got my admissions letter for Rice to transfer for the spring 2006. I am more than likely going to go.

Congratulations!

Congratulations jaecel!

omg, i dont get it, does everyone who applies to Rice as a transfer get in>

of course they do, judging by the 2 that already have. I'm glad you understand the importance of sample size.

ru kidding, there are like 4-5 ppl who have gotten into Rice already. Most of these ppl, their stats are like solid GPAs and 1300-1350 SAT scores.

I was rejected last year (1490 SAT).

just so other can compare I had a 4.0 at UT and I had a 1340 sat out of high school. I didnt get into rice coming out of high school but am looking forward to the srping.

nspeds, but ur high school GPA was like a 2.0. Alrite, that explains enough. For those cases, they probably want to see more of your college work.

bball87, that is correct. My post merely demonstrates that not everyone is accepted. If you have decent stats, odds are that you will be admitted.

I was accepted to Tulane yesterday. Not a huge deal, I guess, but something to post at least. I am still awaiting my other colleges.

congratulations, Andrew!

my point Rockofeller, that it seems that for transfers, Rice is a lot less competitive than transfers whereas for other schools, this really isn't true.

I doubt its any harder to get into Emory, Vanderbilt, etc., which are generally regarded in the same class as Rice.

um Rice compared to those are MUCH harder to get into as a freshman, i know for a fact. Emory has like a 45 percent admit rate for transfers, Rice is like 25 percent.

bump bump bump

Got into Wash U...transferring from Emory...going back to my home turf!

Congratulations!

i applied to CSU schools in early september and got provisional acceptance by all of them in mid-late october...so all they need are my final grades and transcripts from this fall 2005 semester

I applied to Colgate. I sent the materials on the very last day.I am still waiting, and I hope I will get in.
