Hi everyone! I got accepted off the waitlist from UCI today. However, they changed my computer science major to an undecided/undeclared major, probably because they didn't have enough room.
Here's my question:
Does anyone have any experience in transferring to comp sci major from undeclared, and is it hard to do so? Will it be hard to finish graduating with a computer science degree in 4 years?
Thanks in advance.

Congrats @suzard …way cool. Sorry, I don’t have any advice on your situation :)

This is from the website: http://www.changeofmajor.uci.edu/CoM_ICS.html#cs
I would call admissions to get the correct information about changing your major and how difficult it would be.

My son is exactly in the same situation (applied for computer engineering and got accepted as U/U) . I called their admissions and U/U office and as per them it’s very highly impacted major therefore they don’t guarantee if you are able to get the place in computer specific pre-requisite classes as they all are reserved for major specific students and your chances are only if somebody drop out from those classes or if they offer those classes in summer. As I am not able to get any satisfactory answer therefore I decided to let him go to UCSB (where he is accepted directly in the Computer Engineering).

Please call there admission and U/U both offices to get verify and also post your experience, as last date to accept their SIR office is 13th (at least for my son).
