I just got an email from the admission committe about missing materials. Did anyone get it?

Does it mean something was lost in the admission process? Is the frequent?

I just got an email from the admission committe about missing materials. Did anyone get it?

Does it mean something was lost in the admission process? Is the frequent?

It is not usually frequent. They sent me one concerning a recommendation but after I called the office, they told me they had just got it and the mail I got was from a week ago.

I would definitely call the office REPEATEDLY as sometimes the first person may know nothing while the second will tell you what's going on.

I would especially call in your case since you are a transfer and they emailed you instead of mailed.

thanks for the advice--i sent my reply as quickly as possible. im one of those people who are glued to computers and reply to emails within 2 minutes--he thanked me for that too!! (i think that was the first positive comment i got about my habit)

sorry about the randomness of my reply! :) :)

email instead of mail...interesting.

but better not get my hopes up or the fall will be very , very devestating....march/april

on a second thought...i'll just dream and enjoy my short-lived happiness.

why does it take at least a week to update info on "Where Am I..." application process?

acceptedtocollegealready, you working?

To tell you the truth I half-ass at my job. Think of Office Space. I kind of just read essays and shift through papers so the staff thinks I'm working and then I go watch TV and eat food and do my own homework.

Also, the increase in apps is really insane. Just one extra application can mean 20 different papers over a span of a month. Multipy that by 3,000-4,000 extra apps and you get a HUGE mix of papers coming in.

The increased app numbers show 20% increase in FINISHED applications. Do not forget there are many UNFINISHED applications. Some people just randomly send in things and then stop applying.

A week is pretty good considered to other colleges. Also keep in mind the mail is sometimes slow as we recently got a huge snowstorm in Pittsburgh and whenever that happens you can expect long-distance mail to come in a day or two late.

does the admission office send out letters to confirm they received the missing doc?
