premedmind - i check solar somewhere between 4 - 7 times a day just because SB is and was my #1 choice and i’m extremely anxious to hear from them. thats what i’ve been hoping for but nothing yet.

Chris - alright thank you that helps a lot. when you say one more round how were people split up, is it that those applications were never seen yet or they were pushed off for further review?

MJS1995- Does your solar page have a new student tab? (I wonder if it is indicative of anything) what is your application like ? I wish you the best.

well my HS gpa is 3.4/3.5. with a 1350 SAT score. Along with being on 5/6 different clubs and committees
My school day was/is a 10 hour long school day consisting of a duel curriculum of hebrew and english classes.

All of this while dealing with deaf parents

so i’m hoping that all of these things are enough to push me over the top for stonybrook, and my college guidance people think it will.
Thanks for the good wishes!!

yes, there is that tab!! My little brother just got the tab today!!! They also have the Application Status tab: click on the status and it tells you your status!
“Congratulations! You’ve been admitted to Stony Brook University. You will receive your letter of admission within the next two weeks, providing you with details regarding your acceptance. In the meantime, please visit our Admitted Student Website for a list of the steps you need to take to enroll at Stony Brook University.”

@MJS thanks!! Your background and scores sound great and so does your story. I hope you join him really soon!! Best of luck!

@nik795. I’m not sure when he got the tab but we checked at 10AM and it was there, it’s under Student Admission, right below it you will see an new folder that says: For New Students and then a 4th folder with: Campus Financial Services. It wasn’t there last night but it’s there as of 10AM. I’m guessing it was this morning or overnight?
In terms of GPA and SAT he’s actually lower because he got in through EOP. GPA: 85 and SAT 1020/1530 (math was what kept him this low…and he only took the SAT once). However, he’s a full IB Diploma candidate taking 7-8 classes each semester- all IB/Honors classes. He had an excellent essay and 2 stellar recommendations.

MJS what’s your breakdown for the 1350? and what major/undergrad school did you apply to? They might be taking longer with you because of the major? 1350 seems to me like a match for SB.

gf - my sat is really a conversion from the ACT where i got a 30 math, 28 english and 32 reading -> i’m applying as a computer science major/undergrad school

Would I still get a new students tab if I have taken a summer session class at stony brook? Cause when I checked, it had the grades from my summer session class too.
