I had an MIT interview. It went on for about an hour. She had Asian name/looks and was a bit nerdy. lol She asked me what I was doing these days (This seems like a staple question which gets us to talk about our interests). Later we talked about my intended major and what I can do about it at MIT. It was ok.

Just received Harvard interview email. Will happen soon… Tbh, I know I will not make Harvard and don’t even feel like having an interview. Well, hopefully the interview day is, at least, not too cold…

@rainbow: Schools arrange as many applicants as possible to get interviews. Whether you get it or not depends on alumni availability in your area, I believe.

Yes, Viggy, from what I have read and from my experience so far. The earlier you submit (at least one portion of application in some cases), the likelier you get interviews.

I submitted everythihg to MIT two weeks ago and I am done with its interview. Submitted the common app portion to Harvard a week ago and got that interview mail. You prolly know how Harvard officially says it prefers sumbission by December 15 so it has enough time to review app details. Also, as soon as I ‘nearly’ completed Duke common app (minus supplement) five days ago, it sent me an email saying that I should send either common app portion or supplement by December 10 to secure an interview. So…

I did! My MIT interview’s coming up in 4 days. And then Stanford decisions are released the day right after that… this is certainly going to be an interesting week. :p

HEWF! That went pretty well I’d say. It was the guys first time interviewing haha and it lasted just over an hour. It really is just a nice conversation, and he was very very nice. We kinda talked about everything and laughed a lot. He told me a lot of helpful things about princeton and answered all of my questions which was good. Ya! I guess we will see what happens
