My friend knows…IDK how she knows but, like many, he/she has been on the admissions office’s case about this from M10 to now. So I’m assuming he/she knows. I’m excited for you to find out :)</p>

fist time poster-- but I used this forum and thread while waiting to hear back from boarding schools as well and yesterday I got contacted about getting off the waitlist at my first choice(: just wanted to drop a success story and for everyone still waiting to hear from schools it will happen!!<3</p>

<p>After you were contacted to be off the waitlist, how long it’s going to take to receive the package. I start to get worried since we still haven’t received the package yet since the call from the admission last Saturday (4/9).

<p>Call me a lurker to this site but it has been like medicine for us for the last few weeks (and thanks to ThacherParent for the kind advice).</p>
<p>Our D was admitted from the wait pool today and is going to Thacher! </p>
<p>We were told on Saturday there was a chance and we should hang in there. 4 grueling days later and the call came today. We had no “connections” to the school and could not build a dorm for them so we’re absolutely flabbergasted. </p>
<p>We showed up at our daughter’s school today and surprised her with the news as we had written off the chances. In summary, we said we’re in and she screamed.</p>
<p>We wish the best to all of you still waiting. </p>
<p>To dogersmom request, we can confirm there are happy wait list stories.</p>
