This might not be a very good example, but one of the teachers at my school teaches The Civil War. That's it. He majored in The Civil War, and knows every single little detail about everything that happened in that time.

Any of you guys' schools offer some pretty interesting classes?

Don’t know if this would be considered “insane,” but my school has its own radio station, and there’s an entire class devoted to running it. It sounds awesome, and I made it my number one choice for electives for next year.

Novels for Young Readers, in which everyone takes turns reading children’s books aloud to the class, every single day.

We also got out own radio station :)

I had a 5:00 am class one year. Thankfully, it only met once weekly.

Next year, I had a chemistry class with a lab section that sometimes went past 10:00 pm.

At my school we’re lucky if we get the AP class(es) we want. We’ve had pretty extensive cuts at our school the past few years, and we are nearing the bare-bones at this point. It really sucks :/

We have a math class called “Advanced Decision Making” which, as the title suggests, teaches people how to make decisions.

I’d love to see the syllabus of that, and not to scoff – if the title means what I think it means, math students at your school could be very fortunate to have it available to them.

I have a class on King Arthur taught by a Medieval Studies major from one of HYP that shafts me daily.

@Halogen - Interestingly enough, the prerequisite is three years of math ending in Pre-Calculus.

We have natural disasters and infectious diseases as half year classes.

We have a class on Black History idk if that’s a common class or not

Jazz Improvisation. Every day we walk into class and just play stuff. The beauty is that nothing’s ever really wrong.
It’s also possibly the hardest thing I’ve ever done.

My college offers a class on the Anthropology of Crime, we also have one on the Psychology of Men.

We have a class in Robot-Assisted Art and another in Photonics

Not exactly insane but our foreign language classes starts after regular school and we have to go back at 9 for a 2.5h class. We even have to go back during the holidays cos the have to meet the 100h requirement. Sometimes the classes go on for 5 hours

We have a newspaper and yearbook course, both weighted at an honors level.

Many kids take it just to boost their GPA, its easy.

lol I can imagine everyone signing up for it as a joke class and then failing due to insane tests

In an IB Theory of Knowledge sort of way.
