I sent my appeal on the 2nd and got the notification that they received it on the 6th. Has anyone heard back yet? I know someone who is on the waitlist but their appeal was denied
@kibania Hi! I sent in my appeal on March 23. Yesterday, April 18, I received my acceptance letter via postal mail! (It comes in a scary, thin, white envelope lol).
I live in northern Idaho for reference on postal time.
@kibania hello! I sent my appeal by postal mail and 11 days after I sent it, UW emailed me saying they received it. then I did the net Id check and it said I got accepted. I think that was about a week after they received it. you could try to check your net Id or wait for postal mail for the appeal decision.
Thanks for the replies! I still haven’t heard back yet and my online status hasn’t changed nor has the transcript loaded yet, but I’m still hopeful
I live only like 8 miles from the campus so Idk why it’s taking so long for a decision
@UWdreamin Do they just update your status on MyUW, the same page that you got rejected on? Or do you check somewhere else?
@JJammerz I checked on where it says like “thank you for applying” blah with your contact info and sat scores and etc. it used to just say thanks for your application but if your appeal gets approved then it’ll say “congratulations for being accepted” or something along those lines
@UWdreamin Oh I see, thanks. I wonder if it’ll change if it gets rejected…otherwise I’ll be waiting forever lol.
I received my letter of acceptance from appeal status on April 18, but it wasn’t until almost a week later that my MyUW account / NetID reflected that I had been accepted. So it might take a while for you, too. I had to actually call admissions a few times to get my status changed so I could apply for orientation and housing. And here we are, ten days later, and I still haven’t received my admissions packet in the mail haha
