Has anyone heard from Thornton yet? Are they sending the music letters with the acceptance letters? I didn't think they would, but was just wondering.

And could I maybe hear later because I applied to Thornton and they might take longer?

They accepted students for Thornton with scholarship possibilities, a few weeks ago, with invitations to the Explore USC event -- as part of admission to USC. The acceptances were for performance. Presumably they do it in rounds?

I applied to Thornton and got accepted already.

Were both of you for performance? Are they still sending acceptances out for Thornton or is that it?

I auditioned for the BM of Music Industry and haven't heard anything since I did my on-campus audition.

I have a question. I already got accepted, but is it possible for me to double major in violin performance even though I'm "undeclared"? Or at least a violin performance minor? Does anyone know how this works?

Sorry. I'm kind of lost because I applied RHP and not sure how everything works.

I know of 3 students accepted in performance (piano); all three were nominated for scholarships, which may account for the early notice. Thornton sends a letter. They did not specify teacher.
To double major in performance, you would need to audition for Thornton.

Were they nominated for music scholarships or one of the big scholarships from USC itself?

So it's a relief to know that not everyone has heard from Thornton. Do you know of any music industry majors that have heard?

Presidential/Trustee; I don't know of anyone getting a music-specific award, though there may be some out there.

ok. thanks. that makes more sense.
