Has anyone heard from Thornton School of Music yet. I know large scholarship recipients heard a while ago, but how about everyone else? Have rejections gone out yet? I think I read somewhere that decisions will be mailed out April 1. Is that right?

I called them last week, and they said that all files were still under review and they'd START sending out letters as of Apr. 1 and that we'd know by Apr. 15.

(Originally they had said Apr. 1, so you were correct in what you'd read.)

Linz, thanks for the info. My D is waiting on USC and Northwestern (and Temple, but that was a safety). She'll probably go to NYU because she's interested in music record producing and music business along with performance, but USC is good for that, too -- with a better music performance program.

Of all the places she auditioned, the quality of playing (if you can judge from the people warming up around the same audition times) was the best at USC - which makes her both very interested and a bit doubtful.

hkstrpd-Northwestern posted their decisions online yesterday!

bailey1116- I know, thanks! But my D is away for the weekend. I guess she'll find out tonight. She's pretty much in love with the idea of going to NYU. I think only USC has a chance of making her reconsider at this point.

Good Luck to her! I did not apply to Northwestern. I am waiting to hear from
USC!

bailey1116 - Good luck to you, too! What's your instrument / voice? My D's is violin.

Linz, is that information pertinent to all applicants or only to those that applied to the Thorton School of Music.

I called about a week and a half ago and they said they were mailing all decisions on April 1.
